True enough in day-to-day affairs, but both are "totalitarian" in the sense that they *know* the way the world is to be run, and they do plan on "fixing" things eventually. Since their "ideologies" differ so much (Maker vs. Grower), it's not a matter of how the day-to-day affairs don't clash too much, but the fact that the grand schemes differ so.

At the end of the day, the mostali and aldryami are far scarier than an uz (or many of the other non-chaotic monsters in Glorantha). The uz just wants to take your stuff and possibly to eat a family member. The mostali and aldraymi very earnestly want to tell you how to think. Eeek.

Uz are Bad because they're "anti-growth" in so many ways, but of course this isn't mutual: all elves should die because they're yummy, but there's nothing really *personal* about it.

Since Sorcery is explicity an evil, evil thing by orthodox uz standards, I'd think no: it's known to come directly from Arkat as a source. And few uz are willing to use a source besides Arkat.
