Chris Gidlow & I have in the past chucked around the idea of running a special Tarsh War session - "Jurassic Tarsh"? - where the threat to the Lunars (unknown at the scenario kick-off) is from dinosaur activity in the Bush Range, not Exile armies. So you'd see Peltasts outskirmished by Velociraptors, Triceratops charging against the Hoplite shield wall, the militia driven into flight by "harmless" herbivores, etc...

Probably this'd be a one-off convention game, rather than a serious session.

When I've run TW, I usually state that dinosaur hunting is a royal prerogative of the Kings of Tarsh, but I freely admit that I do this to throw a bone to Prince Orontes and get him chewing carpet, rather than from any deepseated  sense of its Gloranthan validity. It does sound dead good in play, though.

More on TW at www.etyries.com/products/tarshwar.htm, for anyone wondering what on earth I'm talking about.

Cheers, Nick
