Possibilities are:

Renewed aggression from the Elder Wilds on an anti-human rampage.

Dwarves of Greatway activate their masterplan to turn Balazar into a enclave of slave humans a la Slon.

Dara Happan fanatics invade Balazar to repeat whatever Balazar was doing and cause havoc.

Gonn Orta takes a leak and the Elf Sea floods...
