Then there's the "Hide the Sheep" games, over which the curtain of modesty must be drawn....

I'm sure there are alynx competitions showing off the herding and hunting abilities of clan alynxes (and the occasional Ernalda-inspired pig).

The Ernaldans can get involved in some of these, too -- obviously, having a skilled cheese-wife making the sturdiest possible cheese will help in the cheese rolling, but there could be contests demonstrating he skills of the followers of Ernalda of the Woods (I've forgotten her name, sorry), and if the men can pick up stones, the women can have competitions to see who can hold a stone the longest or carry it furthest. There could even be a "light-hearted" contest between Flyers and Grounders, perhaps based on a myth where Orlanth wanted to go out and Ernalda needed to remind him that the roof needed fixing.... Any skill that supports the clan will probably be graced with a contest -- the four providers, for example: herding clans will pay more attention to alynx contests and cattle judging; farming clans will have plowing contests; fishing clans could have ritualized fishing tests, and hunting clans go in for that "Master Hunter " stuff. Most clans rely on all four to some degree, but the most vital activities will be the ones your clan honors through ritual and sport.
