Well, from the MGF perspective, it wouldn't take free
well away from the characters, but be yet another of
the forces of the world they struggle with.

hero points to both affinities AND flaws to match what
the "fans" think of the person in question. Like all
other flaws, it'd be something you'd have to contend
with, but nothing that's a slam dunk.
Speaking of the Backstreet Boys again, if the surly
one (I'm assuming there is a surly one - there always
seems to be) wants to do, say, radical folk songs,
would feel seriously constrained by the public
perception of them, but could still go out and do it
if so inclined.
