Sheep also produce milk, used to make cheese. Until the late middle ages, sheep (rather than cows) were the main source of cheese.

Hmm, cheese is, in some ways, solidified milk. This fits neatly with the water element (Heler's) dual phases (two Rune Metals) and ability to transform itself. And consider the significance of *blue* cheese to Helerings.
