Well, the information presented about the tribes of Sartar is the most detailed we have ever had for most of the tribes (except for the information about the Colymar in KoS). As for consistency with old-timers, the information presented for the Sambari (for example) contradicts the previous fan publications, so I suspect reticence is not the reason.
