"Myth comes from the Greek muthos which means "story" ... I believe I saw Greg Stafford once quote someone's aphorism that "the universe isn't made up of matter, it's made up of stories."

When Jareel beheads you with the Razor, is she hitting you with matter or a story?

Since "all" (in the HW 85% "all" sense) Orlanthi truly believe that their myths are the truth, (I can agree with that, since most of their myths *are* the truth) they should not be presented in the Sartar-focused HW books as their "myths" and "stories". They should be presented as the factual history of their Gods and Goddesses. Likewise, a proper HW-style book about fundamentalist Christians would present the Bible as factual history, talking about Noah's Ark, Jesus' birth in a manger, describing how the Host transubstantiates, etc. *Not* as "here's a cute story about the Manger we re-encact every Christmas"
