Well not quite so explicitly mythic, but if you want to know what Herotlings worry about:

"Thus, the clan is protected from the Seven Dangers: strangers, foreigners, enemies, hostile gods and spirits, disease, hunger, chaos."

Personally I think the Seven Dangers is a good map for what BA is about.
