I must say that this is the best subject line I have ever seen.

<<At what Con will you be singing these? >>

I'm not sure they're exactly singable without music, perhaps we would need a karaoke machine...and earplugs.

I find it interesting that Heortling filks tend to be mangled folk songs. For myself, I tend to find that certain genres convert well into different Gloranthan cultures. Heavy 70's Funk for Mostali, sixties soul for Praxians, punk and heavy metal for Balazarings, Elvis for Moonson, Isaac Hayes for the Imperial Lunar Court, Wham! for the cult of Thanatar and assorted other novelty records for the horrors of Chaos.

Here's a Balazaring Votankihead offering. (tune: Motorhead, the ace of spades) If you like to hunt, I tell you I'm your man You catch some, lose some, it's all the same to me The pleasure is the chase, makes no difference what you say I don't share your greed, the only prey I need is The Water Wyrm
The Water Wyrm

Playing for the high one, dancing with the dragons, Going with the flow, it's all a game to me, Seven or Eleven, snake eyes watching you, Double up or quit, double stake or split, The Water Wyrm
The Water Wyrm

You know I'm born to lose, and hunting Wyrm's for fools, But that's the way I like it,
I don't wanna live for ever,
And don't forget Auld Wyrmish!

Pushing up the Dwerrow, I know they've got to see me, Hunt 'em and weep, the brave man's plan again, I see it in their eyes, take one look and die, The only thing you see, you know it's gonna be, The Water Wyrm.
