Wrong wrong wrong. Rheingau and Mosel-Saar-Ruwer make the best dry and semi-sweet white wine in the world. Only Bourgogne can compete with the dry ones, the semi-sweet have no competition except possibly selection de grains nobles from Alsace.

Among the best wine-making regions you forgot Piemonte and Toscana in Italy and Jerez in Spain.
