In one of the synchronicities of life, this leads onto Viv Stanshall and the Bonzo Dog Band, who matched Carroll and Morgenstern's fantasy *and* wrote the song 'Rhinocratic Oaths', which has quite possibly the best one-breath, single-line lyric in history:

"With a geranium behind each ear and his face painted with gay kabbalistic symbols six-foot-eight seventeen stone police sergeant Geoff Bull looked jolly convincing as he sweated and grunted through a vigorous twist routine at the Frag-A-Go-Go Beer Keller."
