You only count weaponry, and not organization? Yes, pikes/Sarissas are major part of Lunar military weaponry. Shot, yes. Magically augmented Thunder Delta Slingers - as effective as RW shot. Who needs gunpowder with all that more effective magic? Yes, serious artillery in the form of magical combat regiments. You're proving what we've been saying.

Lunars don't only invade Sartar. Both Lunars & English invaded all sorts of places (not together, as far as I know). Britain & Gaul aren't the only analogies for Sartar.
