It's nice, but that's how it's rated. Well above "supermarket own brand", below the specialist Scottish ones. Probably on a par with Irish. But opinions differ.

Oh, we have cheeses from all over. French, German, Dutch, Swiss... The Chedddar section includes Canadian.

They're not. This is my local drop-in-on-the-way-home small supermarket, which stocks at least 10 varieties of Cheddar, one of which is usually Canadian.

Mind you, much really good British cheese probably couldn't be exported, it isn't designed to keep that long.
