After this weekend, I'm getting all advanced. This cannon was lanyard-fire, not a hammer. So now I know to keep well clear of the vent, too. It's only a little flame in comparison to the one at the front, but three feet high is quite big enough to hurt.
I get to pour black powder down holes! Whee! Much more fun than a 22 round.
