Wrong. According to WF, Maran traded away her mating for terrible powers and celibacy geases. Babeester Gor, on the other hand, couldn't take the burden alone and shared the burden with many lovers.

So, pretty little Babs was at it like a rabbit and nasty horrid Maran was celibate.

Quakebeasts and other such beasties could have been produced by nonsexual  means or she could have adopted them.

Then they changed it to make Maran Gor super-fertile and Babs another virgin girl.
