'300' was a celebration of fascism, a study of masculine 'herodom' will by a dude who was too scared to leave his room for ten years. Even a Republican should be able to see that. :)

And yes, dividing whole cultures into good and evil has never worked in the real world or even in good fiction - despite a valiant attempt in Cheney/Turdblossom/Bush foreign policy. You can fool some of the people some of the time... etc.
