A bit of life on the lists at last!

Boodiful. Poetic. Skaldic. Don't understand a feckin word of it but it was nice to read.

I appreciate that

Well for the last 20 years or so it hasn't been, not at all. We had a thing called a community, and people worked to build and expand it. People were *encouraged* to be creative. There are still plenty of people with energy and vision. Yes an awful lot of people are shellshocked, or pissed off, or are working on other games, but many are hanging on with greater or lesser degrees of enthusiasm. But people are locked out in lots of subtle and unsubtle ways. Consider that both Sartar and Prax (our two most popular locales) have been stitched up by Jeff (he of the vaporous Argrath campaign, the vapourous Bumper Book of Orlanthi Mythology, the Noo, Improved, Purified-of-non-JR-taint,
Sartar-cults-or-maybe-a-broader-Sartar-book-with-some-included-maybe-if-you're-good--oh-so-relevant-chaos-taints-by-lesser-folk-must-remember-to-get-author-releases-from-them-all [pause for breath]). No contract signed, no deadline for submission, let alone publication, of the Sartar Cults book, and an admission that Prax won't even be *looked at* until the Sartar meisterwerk is done. But if someone wanted to do a Sartar or Prax work (and we have quite a few talented experts still active, and some very talented newcomers): sorry, its SMJR.

I was deliberately trying to run a world into the ground, I couldn't think of a more effective way to do it.

And don't get me started on actual modules ... Remember when Glorantha was a roleplaying world?

maybe its about time people upgraded

PDFs? *Shutter* Wikis? *Gasp*. Public sharing of information? *Horror*. Positively unGloranthan. Next you'll be calling for truth in advertising.

That surely comes under 'working on other projects'. Check your Facebook.

PS: A reminder to new subscribers, old subscribers who thought the list was dead, and the large number of you who signed on under false names and never post because, you know, IGQ is scurrilous gutter trash. Its an open list. Its a cathartic list (sorry simulationists, google it). Its a no holds barred list. ITS MEANT TO BE LIKE THIS.

And everyone who posts here is a complete moron.
