What has happened to Rory is: A) He wasn't given tools to do his job. B) He got sick of the fanbase and their whining. C) He doesn't like the HQ2 rules. D) He got sick of the current crop of writers and their attitudes.

Rory no longer works for MD, and hasn't since the beginning of the year. This was a mutual decision, and hard to make, as Rory *did* want it to succeed, but was not able to make a dent in the serious problems there.

Rory no longer reads the HQ lists - he's just deleting messages wholesale. He has absolutely *no* interest in reading pros or cons of HQ2, or of contributing to the morass. He doesn't like the rules, and that's the end of it as far as he's concerned.

Rory seems to have picked up the habit of talking about himself in the third person - a bad sign.
