As to other games, I really haven't had a chance to do any role-playing in ages as most of the friends I used to do that with are too busy with other interests or are too far away. I do still periodically play the Magic card game with one of them, and I follow the L5R card game in much the same way I follow Glorantha, more as a fan than a player.

As to computer games, KoDP is the first one I've ever bought. After a couple of years of sporadic playing I did get most of the through a copy of Ultima Underworld that was given to me, and more recently I did play through one clan sequence of a borrowed copy of MechWarrior II. I much prefer KoDP, however, as it is not only a great game to play in small bits of open time (as a parent, long blocks of free time are a thing of the past), but it lets me gradually build up that Sartarite world view in my head, and I think my favorite part of games is getting my head wrapped around different viewpoints.
