effectiveness of different types of aid

There are various occasions when people come asking your aid, and typically the ways you can help include some or all of: give them wealth, sacrifice to the gods on their behalf, lend warriors, give magic, or lend a treasure.

Now, sometimes you just want to be supportive without risking too much, so you offer whatever you can spare most easily. Othertimes, however, you want to be seen helping as generously as possible. Other times again, you really, really, want to help as much as possible for whatever reason. Heck after the praxians mauled our "little brother" clan (a split from our clan, given part of our tula, who are both allied to us and part of our tribe), I would have willingly sacrificed to the gods, and sent warriors equipped with a treasure......but you have to choose just one.

Does anyone have thoughts on what the most effective aid is? Presumably size helps (i.e. more wealth, more warriors, or a bigger sacrifice is better than a small one). Choosing an appropriate treasure to loan, and the right god to sacrifice too, might matter. But, how do the types of aid compare, both image wise and effect wise? i.e. Sincing sending warriors is actually risking clan members, and is a more personal involvement, is that rated more highly that sacrificing to the gods? Loaning a treasure risks much more than the level of wealth you would normally give.....but if they bring it back you've lost nothing at all.

I'm not expecting a magic decoder ring that says each three cows worth of goods sacrificed equals one thane sent, and loaning a treasure is equivalent to 25 goods, or anything so exact. I'm just hoping for your experiences, and your speculations based on Orlanthi culture. (oh, and hoping to generate some traffic on the list again!)
