That doesn't strike me as particularly wise advice, when she's Heroic in two skills. I'd say to ignore her. I certainly ignore the various factions on my ring except when it suits me to listen to them.

It's also important to note that there IS a magic point penalty (and possibly a mood hit) if you have an all-male or all-female ring. You get complaints if there's only 1 male or 1 female, but there's no real penalty there. I've been unable to determine if the nattering nabobs who say, "Our virility is assured because we have lots of men on our ring" or "Our fertility is assured ..." etc., are blowing smoke or talking sense.
