They have quite important role in KoDP. In the beginning, they steal cattle sometimes and it is possible to raid them or make peace with them. Later, they are part of main story. I don't know if it is possible to complete the game successfully without making peace with them.

The Hsunchen are shape-shifters. In Dragon Pass, the most prominent (basically the only) Hsunchen people are the Telmori wolf-folk (I'm not sure
if they show up in KoDP). They are sometimes called were-wolves, though they
are not quite the same as the werewolf legends of the Real World.
