One good advice even for a balance clan is: make full raids (cattle raids is not enough), your war magic will fail if you don't raid on a regular basis.

Make heroQuests: treasure last for long, many other effects vanished too fast. my favorite treasure is on the Aroka HQ, I think is the bag of winds very helpfull defending your tulla (and can not break...) The Death Rune of Humakt is a must have too.

Watch: Ally your neighbourgs (exept one feuding to extend your tulla if you don't start large) it helps with warning. Build a watchtower. Explore your tulla and expect the Hill Spirit event to come.

Trade: Make trade routes and a big temple to Issaries: money is the key for surviving. Give money instead of cows when asked for a favor. Keep in Mind that if your Issaries Merchant is not back for Sacred Time your Market will suffer.

Dont't trade blacktail, but give it for nothing when the event comes.

Keep a treasure (like FearSpirits wich is one use) for tribe negociations.

Explore the Dragonnewt lands (silver statue and many other trasures...)

Explore Prax (and keep the praxian favor to the end of the game, they don't raid you)

Fortify your tulla , built a watch tower, build defense vs horses, try to find the bullroare, the burning standart, the horse of the horse spawn (if it died you can have another at the same place) , the bag of wings, the death rune, the bagpipes, the humakt shield, trade for eurmal shield. If you have the Net try make captives and free them for nothing. Battle Luck blessing is risky but helps improving your leaders skills. Try Manoeuver as two cumulating treasures
(burningg standart and horse) help as do one Wind Spirit Blessing

Explore your tulla, find treasures and resources never, never trade resources.

Explore the Quiving Monts near to you, don't steal or kill the wyrm but give cattle and money you will have a magic source for every time you need( dragon friendly only perhaps)

Keep good relation with ducks, ask for nothing when discovering, help vs Delecti, max time, all your weaponthanes, your war leader, it helps with beast valley

Keep in mind that your choices during events are dependent of your ring gods. Eurmal is a good idea for extra magic but not for its advices most of the time, All the lighbringers must be there, Uralda is a must have. Ernalda or Humakt have good ideas.

Make peace. A good start in a game begins by Chalana Arroy HQ for making peace with neighbourgs. Make allies before tribe making. Oath is a good choice after tribe making.

Build Temples: Keep an eye on your sheeps (a treasure in beast valley can hel try having this alynx at the beginning). The number of temple is limited by your number of allies and your organisation (alone or tribe). At the end of the game you will have no sheeps if you build all temples but that doesn't matter.

Never ever give something to your spliting tulla. Your problems will be worse. Keep in mind that you can offer a feuding tribe membership in your tribe. It's the only way to improve your tribe size after the tribe was made.

Make big exploration with all your weapon thanes. Recruit during this time 10 weapon thanes at a time. Keep 30 Weapon thanes. 10 at each patrol type. 10 for exploring. Don't go exploring uncharted map too far, go step by step (and save before sending expedition) Vinga Odayla and many treasures help. Explore during good seasons.

Trade for treasure (in fact buy them) when you have silvers
(generally after tribe making). The treasures are random (so you can
reload if it doesn't interest you) Orlanth Rattle is a must have.

Cattle. Uralda on a ring, Uralda Shrine, Uralda HQ treasure, BlackTail (or Son) White Calf, Trade for cattle (at the beginning of the game, at the end they will not have any to trade). Try peace clan at the end. Cattle Raid. One good way for having Cattle at the end is to ally with another tribe, they will break their oath, => ask for cattle.

Feeding: Ernalda(bless crops...), Uralda(bless calf), Bantar (not plowsong) are classic but also Orlanth (rain) Elmal (sun) Odayla
(sureshot useless) and Issaries. And of Course Maran Gor (the first
to build, it also helps in story) . Never ever sacrifice for bless children or you will be overpopulated soon. Kora Fin is fine enough. The EarthShaker are better as PlowTeam (because there is enough battle treasures) but keep in mind that they can die every earth season (so save... if you like) they will increase your magic.

Make HQ to improve your leader skills. Battle luck can improve this too. An Heroic Skill is sometimes needed.

Avoid Big Problems: Tracking, Sense Chaos, Death Rune Treasure. Always help Humakti. Help Ducks in Delecti swamp.

And my Last advice: Your chief must be yong. Don't start game with an 50 old chief. HQ are here to improve skills. The only Game I have lost is a dying old chief one year before the Queen. I was not reelected as tribe chief (even with ultimate reputation and huge gifts) and lost.
