I've tried but always run into problems when Wine can't make mtropolis work. (It complains about being unable to find "mPlugins/Basic.x32"). I'm an old Unix hand but Wine is still a black box to me so I'm not sure how to fix that or even get the proper debugging info. There are some messages from the Wine Usenet group archived on Google but nothing I found immediately useful; I didn't spend a lot of time on it though.

I have a fairly recent CVS Wine (23-Jan-2003). There are good RPMs available of the CVS snapshots, if your system uses RPM, so it's easy to install & uninstall. You may want to find 'winesetuptk' which I find really helpful in starting out a config file.
