"My girl" in my previous posting = "my gf" in the posting previous that one. So she's an adult. But would be interesting to hear if anyone has tried to play the game with an adolescent.

>Yup, it's real easy to be the "8th ring member."

Yes, but gotta be careful and not to let the will to play yourself take over and hence "take over" the game :) Or reveal too much things you know (esp. true with heroquests) and spoil the game for the other person. It's a big part of the fun to see her take options I wouldn't take and see what happens. Like that she has displaced no less than 3 clans(including the ducks) already from their lands and I don't see end to her land grabbing needs... It's a one BIG tula already.

Any chance of getting you looking into that? ;-) The more I think of it the more I view it as a bug. I mean your trader doesn't do any haggling the way it is now.

Interesting. I didn't know that. Sometimes you have a Issaries worshipper with very high Bargaining but poor Custom and another Issaries worshipper who isn't quite as good in Bargaining, but much better in Customs, so it would be, (ceteris paribus) actually better to send the latter guy on a trading mission?

Regards to the diplomatic missions and emissaries I always assumed there was a stronger emphasis on the Custom (and Leadership) than Bargaining and many times in the past I have used Lhankor Mhys with their high Custom skills as emissaries. To me missions like Give Gifts and Propose Alliance sounded to like things on which you'd rely on the traditions of Orlanthi more than your ability to haggle.

Please could you give little more hints on this issue? Yes, I do realize it sounds like a potential quagmire of endless questions, but... Restricting ourselves to the basic missions of the game (and leaving out all the missions that might spring out from the events between your 2 actions per season) leaves us with only a few types of missions.

Trading:
-Establish (Trading) Route
-Sell/Buy

Diplomatic:

-Call on Favor
-Demand Tribute
-Give Gifts
-Propore Alliance
-Resolve Feud

Are these all "Diplomatic" skill missions? Or is there any exceptions to that rule?

And then the Leadership skill. When does that come into play regards to emmisaries and traders?
