An alternative to a bio log is an "epiteth" -- things like "the Elf Hater", "the Dragonskinned", "the Lawspeaker", "the Uralda", etc. Unlike the bio log, a character would be limited to one epiteth.
But, yeah, I think realistically implementing this feature probably isn't too different from the bio log.
Yes, I'm aware of that. But you could easily give a "null" value to most scenes/choices.
