Especially not to add "Yeah, I agree" or "No, I disagree." Or be excoriated. If someone writes something good and you want to say "good show" please do. But don't include the whole message you praise. 2. Use an appropriate Subject line. 3. Learn the art of paraphrasing: Don't just quote and comment on a point-by-point basis. 4. No anonymous posting, please. Don't say something unless you're ready to stand by it. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Date: Sun, 10 Oct 1999 11:35:16 -0400 From: Andrew Barton Subject: [RQ-RULES] Swords > Swords don't tend to be razor sharp, a lot of the damage is caused by the force being applied to a narrow focus. Remember the story about King Richard's sword cutting an anvil, and Saladin's cutting a cushion? Sword design depends on what armour its maker expects to have to deal with. They have some very quirky characters. It is designed for its own world, but you can modify it to fit in. - ----- Original Message ----- From: Pastorello, Michael To: Sent: Saturday, October 09, 1999 5:44 PM Subject: [RQ-RULES] NPC's > I am currently preparing to start a new campaign in one of the blanklands. Rolland was said to cut through an armored warrior from helm through saddle and split the spine of the horse. Game wise these are the kind of deeds we aspire to, but it is very special heroes and weapons that do this. I talked to my one eyed squire brother this weekend. He said that he has little trouble with depth perception with a weapon he is used to. Much of depth perception is learned, so he has been told. The real difference comes with a sword or pole arm he is not used to. If it is a different length than what his regular swords lengths he will miss a lot consistently for about a month. People with normal sight will be much more accurate at judging the new length's reach and the time to become completely familiarized with the new length is much smaller. I found the talk very interesting and hope it helps. :) -Kurt *************************************************************************** To unsubscribe from this list send mail to majordomo@lists.imagiconline.com with the line 'unsubscribe runequest-rules' as the body of the message. ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 19 Oct 1999 01:32:27 +0200 From: "German Cantabrana Gonzalez" Subject: [RQ-RULES] Virus This is a multi-part message in MIME format. - ------=_NextPart_000_0004_01BF19D1.CD3F4C00 Content-Type: text/plain; charset="iso-8859-1" Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable Asunto: Otro Virus Asunto: Fwd: OTRO VIRUS Os paso informaci=F3n recibida sobre otro peligroso virus.
