This was, of course, immediately after I sent my RQ sheet request out. Which is just my way of saying that I haven't seen any of the responses prior to V3 #23, and if anyone emailed me directly I never got it. It's also my way of saying that TIAC and PSInet suck, but I guess that's off-topic. And obvious. Is there an archive for the Digest any more? I'd like to see those responses, if any. Anyway, I have an RQ2 sheet that I've been working on since several people have told me that they prefer RQ2. I'm sure it could use some proofreading by someone who has played RQ2 in the past ten years -- this is basically a conversion of something I put together in 1989. I can provide the sheet in Adobe Acrobat or MS-Word format. Email me if you'd like a copy. Once it's vetted I'll be posting it on my web site, and of course I'll be glad to credit playtesters. One other quick question: as I mentioned, I'm working on an Acrobat form version of the RQIII sheet. It does some simple calculations; produces skill bonuses from the characteristics, for example. I've got it to create critical and special hit chances for weapons, too, but when I get to fumbles I can't make it come out right. I don't have the sheet here, so I can't give an exact copy of the javascript, but basically the mathematical expression is 100 - ((100 - skill)/5). I think the problem has something to do with rounding, but I'm not sure. Confession: I'm not a math wiz, and I'm only just learning a tiny bit of javascript. So any suggestions will be much appreciated. Sorry if that was too off-topic. -->Pete - ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Peter Maranci pmaranci@tiac.net Malden, MA Pete's RuneQuest Page! Both are in Adobe Acrobat format. Haven't seen a new Digest since V3 #23 (March 13th) -- have I been sloughed again? Or is it just a slow time? -->Pete - ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Peter Maranci pmaranci@tiac.net Malden, MA Pete's RuneQuest Page!
