If I remember correctly, your character, Blackfinger, survived, didn't he (although, admitedly, most of the group did not)? That;s only true some of the time. The Glorantha Digest is full of regular contributors who write scenarios, background material and magazine articles for publication. Far more so than this mailing list, for example. Ideas for scenarios and colourful ideas for game context do pop up from time to time. Recently several posters have discussed how they run Argraph in their campaigns. There has been a discussion about how to run the Melisande's Hand scenario under Hero wars, there was a description of the ritual performed on entering Alkoth which is very usefull information for a GM running a game where the players visit Alkoth (which one of the respondants said he planned on doing). We alos had discussions about the Waha cult among the Sable Riders of Peloria and the cult of the Seven Mothers role in the Lunar Army, both of which are directly relevent to my current game, in which one fo the characters is an ex-army chaplain of the seven mothers cult and a major plot line involved Pelorian sable riders in Prax. All this within a 2 week period. The GD's game-relevence comes and goes, as does the frequency and usefullness of this list, but in my opinion the DG has far more scenario-usable material than here. The main difference is that rules can be used in any campaign or scenario setting, while the discussions on the GD are very setting and location specific. As the discussion of Glorantha expands to cover more and more aspects of the Glorantha setting, the chances of any given peice of information being usefull for a specific game reduces. The solution is to discuss the things tha affect your game, and hope that everyone else on the digest wil discuss it and come up with usefull ideas. Sounds about an un-eurmali as you can get. >...I tend to call it Eurmal Death bringer... Eurmal has a murderer aspect, which is as near as I think he gets. Eurmali have absolutely no moral or social sense whatsoever, in fact their source of power is breaking social conventions such as trust, friendship and dependability. Being around a Eurmali with death magic is not healthy. > ...and all >the other players complain that he isn't a 'normal' trickster. He tends >to be all Disorder (including game sessions) and no Illusion. There's no such thing as a normal Eurmali anyway. I think most of them focus on certain forms of anarchy that suit their character. Seducer aspect tricksters deflower maidens, murder aspect tricksters are serial killers, etc. Turnpike from the Gormenghast books is a nice role model for a murderer aspect trickster. Problems with my e-mail. This might come to list couple of times, sorry about that. Question about werebeasts. RQ 3rd edition has stats for werewolves. Where can i get stats for other werebeasts, such as bearwalkers? And are all werebeasts basically hschunchen people (cursed or not) with their Divine spells on, or are there other kinds of shapeshangers? The RQ2 stats for bearwalkers are an early attempt at describing hsunchen, and don't fit the "hykim and mikyh" cult description in GoG. Hsunchen shapechangers in RQ Glorantha are basically humans with some shapechanging magic. As to other non-hsunchen shapeshifters, I suspect there probably are some of these, but I don't really know of any specifics.
