Do not include large sections of a message in your reply. Especially not to add "Yeah, I agree" or "No, I disagree." Or be excoriated. If someone writes something good and you want to say "good show" please do. But don't include the whole message you praise. 2. Use an appropriate Subject line. 3. Learn the art of paraphrasing: Don't just quote and comment on a point-by-point basis. 4. No anonymous posting, please. Don't say something unless you're ready to stand by it. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Date: Mon, 12 Nov 2001 17:05:11 -0500 From: Tal Meta Subject: Re: [RQ-RULES] Welcome to runequest-rules Steve Perrin wrote: > > I'm going to these addresses and nothing is happening. > > Can I get resubscribed under shperrin@yahoo.com? I'm sorry to see another free service go away (what happened? I'd like to hear the story), yet another victim of the overcommercialization of the net. I haven't had a chance to work on the draft of the Basic RQ online pamphlet lately -- we had a baby on October 5th, and he's been eating up all my free time. Still, I hope to make more progress soon. Speaking of the draft...did I mention that I'm leaving out the Fatigue rules completely? But that means I need to figure out what to do with the ENC rules, or eliminate them as well. I'm tempted to simply suggest that the GM use common sense to adjudicate weight limits and (small-"f") fatigue. I am known as Shannon Royce Wright on Terra, but my friends call me Sloth. I'm 35,male, Live 10 miles East of Gettysburg, PA and work for Radio Shack as a Sales Manager. I'm also a Cub Scout pack Committe chairman, an avid Golfer, and a Burn Survivor. I lived through a fiery car accident that left me burnt over 90% of my body, about 70% was burnt 3rd degree or worse. I've been playing Runequest 1 since late 1979, then RQ2 and then I branched out into other RPG's like Bushido,CoC, Traveller, Morrow Project, etc... I hope this list lives on for years to come so my sons ( Sebastian(8) & Zachary(6) ) can also learn from here. I like the other RQ list - Runequest2000 , but like most I find it difficult to read since the list owner won't change the background color from Green. I hope we all can exchange idea's and knowledge here and have fun doing it. i wish you all well and say Till friendly smiles meet again, Sweet Songs, Light Laughter SLoth To unsubscribe from this group, send an email to: runequest-rules-unsubscribe@yahoogroups.com Your use of Yahoo!
