Yes, that's half the fun :) Especially as we know that his name *isn't* Gared.

And we don't want to preclude the possiblity that in the players' Glorantha, that was Garrath. Putting Garrath in Whitewall at the same time as Gared is known to be elsewhere would remove the ambiguity.
