Consensus has been that WW at first wasn't much more than a minor source of potential irritants to Fazzur. He sends the Blinder to contain the rebels while he and nearly everyone else concentrate on rich pickings on the coast.
The Bat isn't used elsewhere in the Heortland invasion - prob as it has a tendency to provoke merely surly locals into frothy mouthed anti chaos berserker types. So it doesn't get called in till Dark Season in our draft timeline.
After the Bat, the game goes FA finals. And then some.
