Perhaps as the investment of the fortress is in its early stages. A group of grey-cloaked warriors turn up at night. Lots of weirdly orientalised music. They march in to the awe of the defenders. The tired, bearded warriors of the storm crowd round in appreciative wonder. Broyan moves forward to welcome them. And then they cast off their cloaks.

Revealing a band of blood beer intoxicated psychos festooned with Lunar private parts and carrying big, big bloodied axes.

"Oh bugger..." mutter the men as the endeavour to be on best behaviour for the rest of the siege.

Kind of like a cross between Helm's Deep and... er... Deathstalker.

Seriously, as news of the siege passes over the lands, all manner of defenders of Earth and Storm may come to its aid. Of the former, Babs Gori provide one of the natural outlets. Of course, they don't have to be written in directly, but a "who may arrive" roster (grey text box!) of characterful possibles and ideas could prove a useful adjunct beyond the certainties and primaries.
