John:

I think conceptually we have a pretty good idea of how the the Bat-blat took place. Maybe we need to retrace our steps and try to figure out the steps our heroes took. Ultimately I'd like us to have a playable scenario here.

Additionally, how did this look from the Lunar side?

At this stage, I think we're like the defenders at Whitewall, if a good deal less panicky. People are coming up with alternative strategies. One or more may be adopted by the moot. We have Aroka myths, Storm defences, and a call for 'Orlanth (or Vingkot) defends the Camp' myths. Since the group as a whole isn't writing a novel, we can present *all* potential strategies to the GM - though by the time we assign levels of difficulty the right strategy may be pretty clear. And we may hear from Greg.

And of course, in the panic, rioting and desperation of the city as the Glowspot approaches, we don' have to assume there was one, centralised, coordinated defence strategy. These are Heortlings after all. :) So its highly likely, for example, that even if the spear moot begins to summon storms, a dissent band won't retreat to Shableshur to begin an Aroka quest.

As with most major issues our challenge isn't to decide a priori the correct approach, but to allow the politics of the story opportunity to present the issues 'in game'. Or with an Outcome chart. :)

Cheers

John
