Well, this *could* be because the entire "Orlanth is Dead", and ensuing Fimbulwinter, is a huge Greggism, slapped into the middle of an already-existing detailed history and fitting it about as well as the Block fitted Prax. (WHAMM!)
I don't think we can blame Denseros (for once!) for not noticing something that didn't happen!
