Hmmm... the Bat is a Chaos Demon. I can imagine there are plenty of units that cannot become initiates of the Bat without grave repercussions from their guardians, gods or spirits. It might be ok to cooperate with the Bat, but to actually initiate into the Bat's mysteries thereby becoming immune to the Chaos Scream? I think most non-Lunar pantheons would have extreme problems with that (including the Dara Happans).

It also seems a little too game-efficient for me. Personally, I am inclined to believe that there is no good way for a Lunar army to accommodate the Bat other than to stay at least a mile away from where the Bat is attacking. That's not too hard, since whatever the Bat attacks is destroyed. A good commander might even want to disperse his troops as an insurance policy (in case the Bat heads towards some of the troops - most of the others will survive).

When the Bat is defeated by Broyan and the Whitewall defenders, (1) it is really unexpected, and (2) the rest of the army is dispersed and in a really awkward setup.

I presume the army retreated to a more defensible position (after having its camp plundered), reformed and reorganized, and returned to the siege - this time under Tatius' command.
