And as we did say at the panel and should have added here, there are also options 5-99, being what the PCs actually come up with. Yes, of course your PCs were responsible for killing the Bat! At the very least, what happened was their idea, even if they didn't execute it themselves. Just convince some high-level cannon-fodder (Broyan and friends) to do it for you.
