That *was* the plan. Though I'm quite happy to discuss what accents should be used for which faction here, too....

And I quite liked the idea of the WWI clich of enemy troops having a friendly game of football before returning to their own lines to recommence hostilities. Maybe it should be Shieldwall, not Football? Can you imagine a Duck team? Pushing at knee level?

Nor me, seriously. I seem to remember making a similar set of suggestions back when I was looking into Sun County languages, and the main one was that the accents actually used would have to depend on the GM and players associations.

Let me look up what I actually said... Oh, yes.

"How you represent these languages is up to you and whatever stereotypes you and your players associate with accents. If most of the PCs are speakers of Sunnish, then Sartarite/Pavic should have an accent associated with brash newcomers with too much money: personally I'd use an American accent."

And so on. The actual analysis was between Saratrite, New Pavic, and "sunnish". http://www.jane-williams.me.uk/glorantha/sc/sc_languages.cfm if anyone cares.

And as a Southerner, I still can't tell them apart. Easier than trying to distinguish the supposed variety of "American" accents that all sound identical to me, but still a skill lower than 6.
