There's a point. Is this all origianlly planned as an invasion of Heortland? In otherwords, take Karse, but really the big deal here is breaking Rikard's back. He's the threat, not Broyan. Broyan's a nuisance who turns out to be much more when he sucks up 2 years of everyone's time.
