I've heard of one game where there's vegetation growing on top of the Block, of all places.

"In our campaign, there is
about a foot of top soil on top of the block. Rue, our pygmy Vingan, claims its years of griffin shit =) Regardless of its origin, it provides a lush cover of grass and low lieing vegetation, though its not enough to support large plants. The plants are "different" no doubt, but I didn't have time to investigate it during my visit."
