I suspect that we mostly agree but...
I think that any time two or three warriors go on a mission (including chasing cattle thieves), it is _unlikely_ that they get a "small" wyter to take with them.
1 - these are the pumped-up professionals - that's why we do not ask them to work the farms (except at sometimes at planting and always at harvest) so they can protect us
2 - the wyter is a valuable resource in its own right 3 - it is expensive in hero points to join more wyters - OK hero points don't exist and Gloranthans do not know the numbers but still...

If the whole warband goes (or even half) on a mission, then they will "always" get a wyter.
