True, of course....but I would think that _what_ magic you would use
to find/exploit/repel/etc a piece of a god's soul would not be well
known--most likely there would not be anything like that available in
most culture's magical repetoire. So people would be improvising, and
it would take quite a bit of organized effort to determine if the
theory were wrong, or if you simply hadn't yet tried the right "thing"
(thing being spell, ritual, sacrifice, ocasion, ceremony, etc). The
amount of effort that could be expended first could be significant.
Probably more interesting would be if some such seekers found
*something* and thought it was a piece of the soul of the god of the
silver feet. Oh the possibilities!
