Dara Happa is closest in style to the ancient Babylonians.

In terms of fighting power, the Dara Happans have nothing compared to the Carmanian knights. In terms of metallurgy, the Carmanians are said to have the assistance of the Third Eye Blue cult.

The Carmanians have their own engineers.

The Carmanians build a couple of cities here and there but most of the cities were there before the Carmanians came.

Carmania is deliberately modelled on the Persians.

Dara Happan towns have had walls since the Dawn Age and before and they have roads too (such as the Highways of Nysalor).

>Are the wars Carmanian conquest affecting trade between cities?

Pretty much all wars do.

The Carmanians mint their own coins and the Dara Happans continue to mint theirs.

Big cities in Dara Happa

Yuthuppa - City of Starseers
Raibanth - the Imperial Capital
Alkoth - Hell city.

Lesser cities

Carantes - Red City, the capital of Naveria Manithi - capital of the dirty stinking Darjiinians. Elz Ast - famous for its fleet.

The Carmanians don't have a set practice on this. They give the town to somebody and he has as many troops as he can afford on the town's revenue. Since there's a war on, many of the troops will off be fighting for the Shah.

It varies from city to city and also depends on the time.

>Are Dara Happans becoming the common slaves of Carmanians?

Slaves is a bit too harsh. The Carmanians are more like the Mughals in India in terms of their attitude to the native population.

Both.

It depends on the buildings. most peasants live in mud houses while the rich live in stone bricked houses with glazing.

>Is the Carmanian style of building different?

Yes. It's more of a western style but it still has a large amount of Pelorian influence.

>Has the flying buttress been invented yet?

I'm guessing no.

>Have any alchemists discovered tin or steel?

Tin and steel has been known ever since the Dawn.

>Do either Carmanians or Dara Happans possess chariots?

The Dara Happans do have chariots for ceremonial purposes. There's also writings that a few of their chariots are mounted with artillery but these are unreliable in battle. The Carmanians ride horses with stirrups.
