Well, it was a fruitful error on my part then. And with the date, 908, I can be quite concrete.

I've not scrutenized Robin's book.
But I can give some answers according to TFS. The description you give is certainly true for the centuries before and after 908.

The EWF actually rules Dara Happa from 878 to 910. Then Karvanyar kills the Golden Dragon and everything starts again into the many wars situation you describe.
