See the subtle brand of disinformation present in Jane's description, placing 'Ninja' before 'Samurai'? That's the kind of tactic we have to put up with.

For the current samurai/ninja meme? Search for 'penguin' on the Whitewall Yahoo! Group, to see how it developed. Ironically, Nick of all people put the three sacred words together first (in contempt, no doubt), but he got the word-order wrong (HAAAWWW!); I believe Chris did 'samurai penguin keet' first. Probably whilst wearing a stetson.

The 'ninja penguin keet' was a later, false emendation, which the sources do not support. I should know -- see my qualifications below.

Mind you, penguins have popped up in many other issues in the past, and there's lots of stuff on anthropomorphic penguins in pop culture. Penguin keets have been mentioned in supplements, and I think Keith deserves a one-handed clap for being perhaps the first to mention penguin hsunchen on the Yahoo! Groups (there are older references on the Glorantha list).
