This is precisely the problem many people appear to have with Glorantha.

If two substantial works (TR & ST) written and published by Greg are not 'real Glorantha' and contain not just a few but 'many things' that are to be contradicted (and note: not expanded or explained but 'contradicted') in forthcoming works, then I do feel tempted to join the constant trickle of disillusioned Gloranthans who have apparently given up on the setting and put their collections on e-bay.

Is it really too much to ask that when a culture and its mythology as been 'done' at the level of detail that TR and ST and KoDP and the Sartar Rising books did the Heortlings, then at least its fundamental features should be left alone for a few years so that people can run their campaigns and explore the setting without having it radically revised?

And am I alone in finding this artificial distinction between 'popular play' and 'deep background' both elitist and alienating?
