There was an interminable discussion about Chaos (much of it perpetrated by me) not too long ago on the list.

One, I'm fairly certain "God" isn't really the right term for the Chaos entities. That seemed to come out of the previous discussion.

Two, I think the majority are NOT covered by the compromise. The Compromise is a reassertion of the natural order, and they are not of nature. Now, I do think the Compromise acts as a barrier to Chaos getting in or getting in more or something. There is a reason the Gods accepted it, after all, and that was partially to contain/constrain/control Chaos.

Interesting idea.

I think they aren't. Vivamort is an uber-powerful Vampire, and Krarsht is a giant nasty eating thing. I don't think the cults that grew up around these things necessarily reflect what these entities are like. I don't think it is like the gods or spirits where they have a cosmological role and significance. Thus, Krarsht is a nasty, bitey, hungry thing - and has nothing to do with the cult that is all about "eating away societies from within". At least, that's the impression I got from the last time this conversation went around.

That's an interesting thought. What are you basing that on?
