Teshnos Religion?

I finished the Teshnos section of the _Glorantha: The Second Age_ last night. It raised a question: What kind of entities does the Teshnan religion involve?

>From the book, it sounded like the dominant religion is a collection
of mystic teachings, plus common magic in the strict sense that the magic is obtained from Otherworld entities native to the mortal world. That's consistent with how the Teshnan religion is presented in the HeroQuest rulebook as well. Is that close to the truth?

Alternative theories could be:

• There's an actual Teshnos Otherworld that you contact by diverse methods, like the Lunar Otherworld.
• The Teshnos religion worships entities from multiple Otherworlds -- it's mixed worship, but not common magic.
