The argument of how a chaotic being is automatically some sort of ultimate anarchist, who feels oppressed by rules and compelled to rebell against them.

It's terribly psychological and anthropomorphic. I can see somebody working up such a theory, but it doesn't feel like a definition or theory that does justice to the concept of chaos. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chaos

The world does not turn into slime because a universal force is feeling constrained by rules. I don't think a dragonsnail is a creature that experiences the angst of existing within natural law. If one wants such an explanation to chaos, I'd look at thermodynamics, rather than psychology. The dragonsnail, and the broo experience vibrant vitality, because within them is a hole in the world, where vital energy is draining from Glorantha into primal chaos. They are like parasites of the cosmos. This enthropic process gives vital energy to their existence, but at the cost of weakening the universe*.

*While I like this thermodynamic model, I don't think Glorantha herself is slowly draining into the void. Glorantha is like an animal with parasites. In the greater darkness the parasites almost killed Glorantha, but the current level is sustainable. The worship rituals and natural cycles of Glorantha are enough to renew what is lost to chaos.
